Yes you!.....sometimes we all need to sit watch and listen to something like this -some of you may find it corny or you won't like that it's advertising a book or an organisation or something, i don't know and I don't care much - it's still true and it's still relevant for everyone. This is as much for me as for anyone else who stops just for a minute to watch a very short little video -it is inspirational and if your feeling low or unable to cope with life right now just listen to this.... x

Some Like It Hot

And now for something completely different...you know those moments when you are not feeling well, the weather is wet and windy, you curl up with a cuddly throw and hot water bottle and watch what? The following is a scene from a film I first saw as a child with my cousin and we rolled around the floor laughing so much I wet myself -so here is a little clip -what's your comfort film?

Imagine A World Without Trees
@ 2008-09-12 – 13:01:31
There is a lot of alarming news right now concerning the melting of the ice-cap, but how fast, faster than the scientists predicted. All I can say is that we now see the evidence every single day with non stop rain fall -unprecedented flooding , coupled with the destruction of the rain forests at a rate of knots which is frightening. Trees are literally life giving. Can you imagine what it would be like on this planet without trees?

Update Re Saxon
@ 2008-09-02 – 00:25:12
First of all thankyou to all my friends who left their good wishes yesterday, I haven't had a chance to reply but i do appreciate it so much - the good news is that Sax has had his op, he did have a large tumour but it has been removed and he is ok -so far so good, the vet thinks that as his blood test was clear and there are no signs of secondarys he has a good chance, fingers crossed and lots of prayers to the gods and goddesses, angels and saints, nature spirits and all
that strong intuition of mine on Friday to take him back for a second check up has proved vital, the vet said if it had burst he would have died -if we had gone away to cornwall thinking it was just his teeth, well we would never have known until perhaps it was too late. the lesson, trust your instincts!
He is recovering from the trauma now and is sore and tired, but still with us
I hope all my friends are well and healthy. Blessings to you all x
