Good news -sorry I haven't caught up with friends yet as I've been absent for a few days -as you know if you read my last post we were worried about our greyhound Sax due to sudden weight loss and malaise - the test results came through yesterday a bit late due to bank holiday but they were all clear
so the problem is his teeth - the bad news is he has to have the lot removed when we come home from a 4 day break in Cornwall next week. {Phew!) we can go away now and relax a little -fingers crossed for the weather
hope all is well with all my mates and will catch up on your posts promise.....love and hugsX

More Bloody Bad News
@ 2008-08-19 – 20:11:02
As many of you will know (my friends at least) is that we have a much loved rescue hound -a grey who we adore and have noticed that he has lost a lot of weight very suddenly so had to pick up Jazzes ashes today from our favourite vet and booked him in for a checkup - he is knocking on a bit for a greyhound and it was only an estimation when we adopted him that he was approximately 4 years old, he was the right age for abandoning as this is when they pass their peak at racing, he was found wandering the streets, covered in scars including scissor marks across his back - we have had him now for 7 years and he is the most lovable gentle natured hound you could wish to meet. We have noticed that his speedy romps across the fields have all but stopped and he manages half hearted spurts and then is totally exhausted, his teeth are getting bad so a checkup and blood test later we have been told he has a raging temperature, a heart murmur and all his teeth have to come out -they want to rule out more serious conditions for his loss of weight and put the murmur down to his age. We wait for the blood tests and are currently giving him antibiotics, please everyone fingers crossed it's nothing more serious. the vet mentioned that tumours and liver damage cannot be ruled out but told me not to worry unduly...f***ing fantastic!
If anyone out there owns a grey you will know the histrionics that accompany these magnificent creatures -he cried and screeched tonight and collapsed shaking on the floor during his blood tests, you would think his legs were being removed, but for us it only makes him more loveable.................

When we first saw him I thought he was the most beautiful animal I have ever seen, his muscle tone was amazing, looked like superman shoulders and the way he ran was like poetry in motion -if anything happens to him it will just be the last straw this year

One of my favourite programmes The Secret Millionaire is on tonight, I love it when they give people fat cheques
Wouldn't it be great to have the sort of money that would allow you to do that for people, fantastic! Also tonight 'Maestro' a high brow reality with 'celebs' whatever that means now attempting to conduct classical orchestras -great fun and watch 'Goldie' who cannot read music -amazing! -
